Investing $1B in U.S. manufacturing in 2026

We’re all in on U.S. manufacturing and our customers.

Hiring 5,000 in U.S. this year.

GE Aerospace plans to invest another $1 billion in the United States this year. The investment will help increase engine deliveries, scale durable parts production, and support suppliers to strengthen the defense industrial base.

Ramping Delivery

Image 1

Hundreds of millions will go to sites that manufacture and assemble commercial engines, particularly the narrowbody CFM LEAP engine, and spare parts to reduce maintenance shop turnaround times. Around $100M will go to suppliers.

Scale Durable Parts Production

Nearly $200M will support sites manufacturing high pressure turbine durability kits extending time on wing, and a new system that reduces the need for on-wing maintenance.

Strengthening Defense

More than $275M will upgrade sites producing defense engines and components, strengthening the U.S. defense industrial base to deliver at pace for military missions. This brings the total invested in defense sites over three years to $600M+.

We expect to invest at sites in 30+ communities across 17 states.
