SINGAPORE – February 4, 2026 – GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE) and Thai Aviation Industries Co. Ltd. (TAI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to explore capabilities and opportunities to provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) support for GE Aerospace’s engines on platforms operated by the Royal Thai Government and the Royal Thai Armed Forces.
The signing ceremony took place at the Singapore Airshow 2026 and was attended by Rita Flaherty, Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, Defense & Systems, GE Aerospace, and Air Chief Marshal Piboon Vorravanpreecha, Managing Director, TAI.
The MOU includes a possibility for TAI, the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) center in Thailand, to open an MRO shop to support Thai government and military customers.
Air Chief Marshal Piboon Vorravanpreecha, Managing Director of Thai Aviation Industries said, “Today’s signing lays the groundwork for evaluating opportunities, structures, and capabilities to meet the rising demand from our customers for GE Aerospace engine maintenance and repair services.

Under the MoU, TAI and GE Aerospace will focus their initial attention on analyzing and identifying repair and service opportunities for GE Aerospace engines, including T700/CT7, F404, F414 and LM2500 fleets.
