LE BOURGET, France -- Avionica has received Validation of Supplemental Type Certificate (vSTC) from EASA for its miniQAR MkIII Quick Access Recorder (QAR), avRDC Remote Data Concentrator and avCM 4G Cell Module. The vSTC from the European Aviation Safety Agencycovers more than 300 aircraft models and opens the door for additional aftermarket sales opportunities to install Avionica products on European-based aircraft.
With this approval, EASA joins Brazil ANAC, Canada TCCA, Hong Kong HKCAD, Malaysia CAAM, People's Republic of China CAAC, Ukraine SAAU and UAE GCAA DOA.
"These new EASA vSTCs enhance the global reach of our QAR, Aircraft Interface Device (AID), and Communications products and adds to the long list of regulatory agencies that have approved our STC," said Anthony Rios, Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Avionica. "Receiving these validations bodes well for Avionica, as it streamlines Avionica's ability to support the growing demand for our wireless data recording and connected aircraft products worldwide."
The expanded footprint of the EASA vSTC keeps a global footprint for the hardware on airlines and operators around the world to quickly and efficiently add hardware to their aircraft and take advantage of FOQA programs and Big Data Analytics capabilities within the industry. What before would take months to accomplish with certification efforts, now only takes days.
