GE Aerospace and SPDB Financial Leasing Signs Agreement for CF34-10A Spare Engines

FARNBOROUGH, England  July 20, 2026 – GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE) has signed an agreement with SPDB Financial Leasing for 10 CF34-10A spare engines, underscoring continued cooperation between the two companies and their shared focus on supporting fleet operations and future growth.

The purchase will further strengthen lifecycle support for the COMAC C909 aircraft through innovative leasing solutions. It also marks SPDB Financial Leasing as the first leasing company to independently procure CF34-10A spare engines, setting a strong example of industry-finance collaboration in support of the long-term development of China’s regional aviation market.

GE Aerospace’s CF34 engine family, which powers the MHI RJ Aviation Group (MHIRJ) CRJ, Embraer E-Jets and COMAC C909, has a long track record of reliability and durability in regional aviation, with more than 11,000 engines sold to 178 operators in 76 countries. 

The CF34-10A exclusively powers the COMAC C909 regional jet and provides operators with a dependable propulsion solution for daily service. As the COMAC C909 marks 10 years of commercial operation since entering service in 2016, GE Aerospace has supported COMAC in the delivery of 186 C909 aircraft to more than 10 carriers. 

The in-service fleet has accumulated more than 2 million flight hours, while achieving a 12-month rolling dispatch rate of 99.97%. Since 2022, GE Aerospace has also granted a GBSA license to HEACO to provide CF34-10A overhaul and repair support, further strengthening aftermarket capabilities for the C909 fleet.
