Randy Paulson Named GEAE Regional Director for Indonesia

June 21, 1996

JAKARTA, Indonesia - Randy E. Paulson has been named GE Aircraft Engines' regional director for Indonesia, replacing Bruce H. Charnley, who is retiring after 38 years of service with the company.

In his new capacity, Paulson, 35, will be in charge of market development and sales activities for all GE Aircraft Engines' (GEAE) commercial products in Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Myanmar. Paulson will be based at the GEAE office in Jakarta.

Since joining GEAE in 1984, Paulson has held several key marketing and technical positions which provided extensive experience in the Asian/Pacific region. Most recently, Paulson was GEAE's regional sales manager for marine and industrial engines covering Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei. During his career with the company, Paulson has also been based in Japan and Singapore.

Charnley is leaving his post after having served GEAE in Indonesia since 1983. During that period, he handled a wide range of responsibilities, including sales, market development, and project management for the installation of the Universal Maintenance Center in Bandung.

"Randy's technical background with commercial, military, and marine and industrial engines, as well as his experience in the Pacific region, will be a great asset to GEAE's operations in Indonesia," said Charnley. "Over the years, Randy has been the beneficiary of GE's extensive training programs and is well-prepared for this post."
