EVENDALE, Ohio - GE Engine Services (GEES) has been awarded a $22 million, 10-year agreement from USA 3000 Airlines to perform engine maintenance under GE's Maintenance Cost Per HourSM (MCPHSM) program.

The agreement calls for GEES to maintain USA 3000's fleet of five leased CFM56-5B4P-powered Airbus A320 aircraft, including repair and overhaul. The agreement also includes an option for two additional aircraft.

Maintenance and overhaul work will be conducted at GE's Strother facility, near Arkansas City, Kansas.

"We are pleased to be chosen as USA 3000's engine maintenance provider," said George Oliver, president and CEO of GE Engine Services. "The MCPH program allows customers to benefit from GE's product expertise and knowledge while meeting their demand for a low-risk maintenance support solution."

The MCPH program leverages GE Engine Services' extensive services network, engineering resources, and program management expertise to maintain the individual customer's fleet based on a flat rate per engine flight hour, enabling the customer to forecast operating costs with greater accuracy.

"We are very happy to team up with the professionals at GE Engine Services," said James Kenney, president of USA 3000. "Their turnkey approach to engine monitoring and maintenance provides us with a very comfortable level of protection."

USA 3000 Airlines, a subsidiary of Apple Vacations, will take delivery of the first of seven new A320 aircraft in October. These aircraft, configured for only 168 passengers, will be based in Philadelphia, New York (Newark) and Chicago (O'Hare). Initial plans call for these planes to operate from these cities to such popular Apple Vacations resort destinations as Cancun/Riviera Maya and Puerto Vallarta in Mexico and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
