On November 11, Veterans Day, Americans will celebrate the service of all U.S. military veterans. We’d like to share the stories of seven of those veterans who currently work for GE Aviation. They represent a diverse cross section of American society and a breadth of career specialties and life experiences. GE Aviation’s largest turboshaft engine – the GE38-1B, designated the T408 by the US government – successfully powered the first flight of the U.S. Marine Corps’ CH-53K heavy-lift helicopter, on Tuesday, October 27.
