NDB Explorer Licensing Guide

  • Create a GE SSO User ID and Password (New Users)
    • If you have ever created a GE SSO, you can skip this step.
    • If you do not remember your GE SSO, you can find it by entering your email address here: B2B SSO Forgot Username
    • If do not have a GE SSO, complete and submit the form on the B2B Registration website.
  • Creating an NDB Explorer License Manager Account
    • Each installation of NDB Explorer requires a unique License file. Licenses cannot be shared between computers.
    • Launch NDB Explorer using one of these methods:Double-click the NDB Explorer desktop shortcut NDBE Desktop Icon
    • Click NDB Explorer from the Windows Start menu NDBE Start Menu Icon
    • Click “Request License…”. If a web browser does not open, then ensure you have completed all steps in the NDB Explorer Installation Guide for the latest NDB Explorer.  Details
    • Click "Login". GE Aerospace
    • Enter your GE SSO User ID and Password and click either of the “Log In” buttons. If you are a new user, you can follow step 1 to create a GE SSO.
    • This step will only happen on your first login. Enter Your Company Name and the Navigation Database Identifiers which you want to use in NDB Explorer (e.g. “ABC1”). Then click “SUBMIT”.
    • The GE Aviation FMS Navigation Database team will be notified of your account registration and will approve your account within one business day. You will receive an email when your account has been approved.
  • Downloading Your License
    • After receiving an email that your account has been approved, follow the instructions in Step 2 to login to the NDB Explorer License Manager.
      Select the “Download Licenses” tab.
    • If your Machine is not automatically selected, select your Machine from the dropdown menu and then click “Download License File”. By default, your NDB Explorer license will be downloaded to your Downloads folder.
    • Launch NDB Explorer (see beginning of step 2) and click “Import New License…”.
    • Navigate to your Downloads folder and select the “license.lic” file. Then click “Open”.
