Malaysia Airlines finalizes CFM LEAP-1B engine order
At a special ceremony in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) finalized its order with CFM International for LEAP-1B engines to power 25 firm Boeing 737 MAX aircraft scheduled to begin delivery in 2019. The order is valued at more than $630 million U.S. at list price. The airplane order was announced in late July.

GE Aviation’s two Singapore component repair facilities, GEASO and GE-ATI, have been merged into a single legal entity and now hold a common site airworthiness regulatory certificate. The new entity is called GE Aviation, Engine Services – Singapore.
Brad Mottier directs $25,000 GE Chairman’s Award grant to Legal Aid of Cincinnati
Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati was selected to receive a $25,000 Chairman’s Award grant from GE Aviation’s Bradley D. Mottier. The Chairman’s Award is given annually by GE Chairman and CEO Jeffrey R. Immelt. It is the highest level management honor bestowed on a GE executive, recognizing outstanding performance and leadership within the company.
