GE Aerospace in China Overview

45 Years, Growing with China's Civil Aviation
For 45 years, GE Aerospace has made sustained local investment and grown alongside China’s civil aviation industry by providing reliable products, services and nurturing local talents.
As one of the first OEMs to enter China, GE Aerospace has continually introduced the leading products and technologies to grow alongside the world’s second-largest single aviation market. Today, GE Aerospace serves more than 60 airlines across Greater China, with over 7,800 engines in service and more than 5,000 engines on order.
GE Aerospace provides comprehensive services with Chinese customers and safeguard aviation safety across the region. Our open MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) network includes eight partner/authorized MRO shops, two storefronts, and one On Wing Support facility, covering all GE/CFM* engine models to maintain fleet reliability. Shanghai Fleet Support Center, our only 24/7 fleet support center outside the U.S., provides services including remote engine monitoring, engine monitoring algorithm development, and 24/7 technical support.
GE Aerospace is dedicated to developing both technical expertise and commercial leadership within China’s aviation sector, ensuring a strong foundation for the industry’s future growth. We co-founded the Aviation Engine Maintenance Training Center (AEMTC) in Guanghan, Sichuan province, which has trained over 17,000 mechanics for various airlines since 1996. We also offer leadership training to our customers. To date, GE Aerospace has provided training to more than 10,000 participants from various strategic partners in China.
As a trusted partner of China’s home-grown commercial jet programs, GE Aerospace has been with COMAC every step of the way for more than 20 years, providing engines and avionics systems (by AVIAGE*) to power the C909 and C919 aircraft, supporting flight testing and type certification, offering after-sales maintenance services, and providing support for marketing and talent training.
