GE Aerospace Volunteers: Making A Difference Around the World

January 24, 2024 | by Meg Thurlow
One of biggest reasons I'm proud to work at GE Aerospace is the impact we have on the world - powering three out of every four planes you see in the sky and innovating new approaches to make those flights more sustainable.

But our impact doesn't stop there - we are committed to lifting people up in the communities where we work and live through volunteering, and in 2023, that meant more than 400 GE Aerospace volunteer projects totaling 50,000 hours!

Hundreds of GE Aerospace employees contributed their time and talent last year to help make a difference, but I want to share special recognition of our 2023 Outstanding Volunteers. They include: Agata Floriańczyk, Brendon Leeker, Carwyn Evans Beng, Daniel Muñoz, DeLaine Ferrell, Elizabeth Norton, Jeff Zeigler, Kevin Betz, Shazlin Zainol Abidin, and Sherikka Lowry.

They supported veterans including through Military Makeover, and Ukrainian refugees, cleaned local habitats, led science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities and encouraged more of their friends, neighbors and colleagues to get involved as well.

This year promises to be another incredible for the GE Foundation, and I can't wait to see what we accomplish together!
