Veteran Family Chosen for 35th Season of 'Military Makeover with Montel' in Partnership with GE Aerospace
The Carmody family, a veteran family, was chosen for 35th season of ‘Military Makeover with Montel’ in partnership with GE Aerospace. Airing on Lifetime and the American Forces Network, Military Makeover pulls together businesses and local volunteers to carry out home improvements — everything from installing new flooring to revamping a patio — based on the needs of the veteran’s family. By appearing on Military Makeover, the Carmodys hope to “bring light to the mental health issues veterans may silently face even when they seem OK,” the family says.

This coming Fall, GE Aerospace be the presenting sponsor for Military Makeover With Montel, a reality television program that renovates homes for veterans in need.

Honoring Memorial Day: GE Volunteers Beautify Veterans Cemetery
It was a fitting tribute to Memorial Day, then, for nearly 100 GE volunteers to dedicate portions of their week cleaning and beautifying Hillcrest Cemetery near GE Aviation's global headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. About 1,400 U.S. military veterans spanning from the Civil War to the Vietnam War are buried at this cemetery. Roughly 95% of those represent African American veterans.
