In her combined 11 years in the army, eight of those on active duty, Dolsen served as an Army Logistics Officer, where she led all aspects of Army logistics, including transportation and distribution, maintenance, ammunitions as well as managing fuel, water, and food distribution. She also managed parachute and aerial delivery commodities along with operations planning.

In return, the show’s producers chose to help a family in Lynn, home to GE Aerospace’s flagship defense plant.

The Carmody family, a veteran family, was chosen for 35th season of ‘Military Makeover with Montel’ in partnership with GE Aerospace. Airing on Lifetime and the American Forces Network, Military Makeover pulls together businesses and local volunteers to carry out home improvements — everything from installing new flooring to revamping a patio — based on the needs of the veteran’s family. By appearing on Military Makeover, the Carmodys hope to “bring light to the mental health issues veterans may silently face even when they seem OK,” the family says.
