GE Aerospace Wraps Historic Farnborough Airshow
GE Aerospace (NYSE: GE) wrapped up the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow with record engine demand, continued momentum across durability and services, and major advances in hybrid electric flight.
Jet2 Plc Confirms LEAP Engine for all its Airbus A321neo Aircraft
UK leisure travel group Jet2 plc has today announced that it has selected the CFM LEAP-1A engine to power 54 Airbus A321neo aircraft. With this announcement, Jet2’s LEAP-1A-powered A321neo fleet will now span 146 aircraft, alongside nine leased aircraft. The agreement, which also includes a long-term maintenance service, supports Jet2’s growth strategy.

GE Aerospace and Magellan Aerospace Sign Memorandum of Understanding for F414 Sustainment
GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE) and Magellan Aerospace Corporation signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities in Canada for the F414-GE-39E engine that powers the Saab JAS 39 Gripen E fighter. The MOU is predicated on whether the Government of Canada proceeds with the acquisition of the Saab JAS 39 Gripen E fighter as part of the future Royal Canadian Air Force fighter fleet.
Austrian Airlines Selects GE Aerospace FlightPulse® to Expand Flight Data Analytics to the Cockpit
GE Aerospace today announced that Austrian Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, has signed for FlightPulse®, a GE Aerospace, Software as a Service (SaaS) mobile application that connects operational flight data directly to pilot decision-making before and after each flight. FlyOne Armenia, the largest airline in Armenia, signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with CFM International for four LEAP-1A engines to power two Airbus A321neo. The aircraft order was announced in May during the state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron in Yerevan.

GE Aerospace announced today that National Airlines has committed to purchase one GE90-110B and six CF6-80C2 engines to power their Boeing 777F/747F cargo airplanes.

Abra Group and CFM Expand Partnership With LEAP-1A Engine Order
CFM International and Abra Group, parent of Avianca and GOL, today announced that Avianca has selected CFM LEAP-1A engines to power 50 previously unallocated aircraft in its remaining 134-aircraft Airbus A320neo family order – together with a comprehensive services package to support Abra Group’s long-term operational needs, that includes spare engines and long-term services, the latter of which will also cover GOL’s fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

IndiGo and CFM Sign MoU Paving the Way to a Record Agreement for 1,000+ LEAP-1A Engines
IndiGo, India’s largest airline and one of the world’s fastest-growing carriers, today announced it has signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with CFM International for an order of 1,000+ LEAP-1A engines to power 510 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft. This will be the largest single order ever placed for LEAP engines and a record for CFM International.

CFM Secures Certification for LEAP-1B Durability Upgrades
CFM International has secured certification of the CFM LEAP-1B high-pressure turbine (HPT) durability kit from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The system will double time on wing in hot and harsh environments like in Middle East and India. CFM is beginning to industrialize production of the hardware, with full production cutover expected in early 2027.
CFM expands, strengthens open MRO ecosystem
CFM International continues to invest in its open maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) ecosystem, building both capability and capacity to meet the forecasted ramp in LEAP engine shop visits, including five-year commitments of more than $1 billion USD by GE Aerospace and more than €1 billion EUR by Safran Aircraft Engines.

GE Aerospace and UK Export Finance Launch New Financing Solution for Regional UK Shop Visits
GE Aerospace and UK Export Finance (UKEF) today announced a first-of-its-kind framework for shop visit financing for airline customers leveraging GE Aerospace’s Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) sites in Wales and Scotland. This new program will enable airlines to access financing for their engine maintenance spend, with UKEF supporting $1 billion in financing over the next five years, supporting airlines with quicker decision making and greater predictability.
